Olympic Medal: W Shooting Air Pistol

BEIJING, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- Guo Wenjun of China won the Olympic gold medal Sunday in the women's air pistol event.

It was the second shooting gold medal for China in the Beijing Games and its third victory overall.

Natalia Paderina of Russia, who led going into the finals, took the silver and Nino Salukvadze of Georgia won the bronze.

Jasna Sekaric of Serbia, competing in air pistol for the sixth straight Olympics, wound up fifth. She had won the silver medal in each of the last two Games and won the gold in 1992.
