HOUSTON, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- Kris Brown kicked a 25-yard field goal as time expired Saturday to give the Houston Texans a 19-16 pre-season victory over the Denver Broncos.
Brown was 4-for-4 on his field goal attempts, including a 52-yarder. Sage Rosenfels was 10-for-15 passing with 137 yards and a touchdown for the Texans.
Matt Prater hit three of his four field goal attempts while Jay Cutler was 8-for-10 with 59 yards and had a 15-yard touchdown run for the Broncos. Two of Prater's field goals tied the game in the fourth quarter, with the last one coming with under six minutes to play to make it 16-16.
Denver linebacker Louis Green left the field on a stretcher with a neck injury and a concussion in the first quarter. Green collided with teammate D.J. Williams as the two converged on a tackle of Texans tight end Owen Daniels, who caught a short pass on the play.
Green was motionless on the field for several minutes as medical staff rushed to check on him. He was moving his fingers and hands when he was rolled off the field on a stretcher and taken to a hospital for further evaluation.
