SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- Aaron Rowand's bases-loaded single in the 10th drove in the winning run Saturday night and the San Francisco Giants beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-2.
Jeff Kent had put the Dodgers ahead 2-1 in the top of the 10th, but the Giants tied it at 2-2 in the bottom of the inning on reliever Jonathan Broxton's throwing error and then won it when Rowand drove in Randy Winn.
Dave Roberts had three hits, including two doubles, and scored twice for the Giants, who have split their last eight games. Emmanuel Burriss and Fred Lewis each drove in a run for San Francisco.
Giants' starter Kevin Correia allowed one run on six hits over six innings with three walks and five strikeouts. Tyler Walker (4-6) got the win despite giving up the 10th-inning homer to Kent.
LA starter Hiroki Kuroda limited the Giants to one run on eight hits in eight innings with two walks and four strikeouts -- and also drove in a run for the Dodgers, who lost for just the third time in seven games.
Broxton (2-3) blew his sixth save opportunity to take the loss.
