NFL: Pittsburgh 16, Philadelphia 10

PITTSBURGH, Aug. 8 (UPI) -- Pittsburgh's Ben Roethlisberger tossed a touchdown pass on the opening drive Friday and the Steelers went on to beat Philadelphia 16-10 in a pre-season game.

Roethlisberger took the Steelers on an eight-play, 80-yard drive and connected with Santonio Holmes on a 19-yard scoring pass.

Jeff Reed kicked three field goals for the Steelers, whose backup quarterback, Charlie Batch, left the game with a broken collarbone in the second quarter.

Rashard Mendenhall rushed seven times for 34 yards for Pittsburgh.

Donovan McNabb connected on 10 of 13 passes for 97 yards and a touchdown and rookie DeSean Jackson caught five passes for 51 yards for the Eagles.
