NFL: Kansas City 24, Chicago 20

CHICAGO, Aug. 8 (UPI) -- Tyler Thigpen's 27-yard touchdown pass to Bobby Sippio with 1:15 to play Thursday lifted Kansas City to a 24-20 NFL pre-season victory over the Chicago Bears.

Thigpen completed eight of 16 passes for 113 yards, Larry Johnson ran for a 7-yard touchdown and Dantrell Savage rushed for 30 yards for the Chiefs.

Caleb Hanie passed for 77 yards, including a 13-yard touchdown, Rex Grossman threw a 25-yard touchdown pass and Garrett Wolfe rushed seven times for 64 yards for the Bears.
