BEIJING, Aug. 7 (UPI) -- Switzerland's Roger Federer and Serbian Ana Ivanovic were named top seeds for the Olympic tennis competition, which gets under way Sunday in Beijing.

Both players are ranked No. 1 in the world, although Federer will soon lose that ranking to Spaniard Rafael Nadal.

Federer's opening match at the Olympics will be against Dmitry Tursunov of Russia. Ivanovic goes against Ukrainian Mariya Koryttseva.

Nine of the top 10 men players in the world will participate, including Nadal, who will become No. 1 Aug. 18.
