
SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Aaron Rowand drove in every San Francisco run in the Giants' 3-2 victory against the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday.
The aging center-fielder hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the first inning and a sacrifice fly in the third.
Randy Winn went 4 for 4 and scored twice, while Fred Lewis added two hits for the Giants, who have won four of their last six games.
One of Winn's hits was the 1,500th of his career.
Winner Tim Lincecum (12-3) gave up two earned runs and only five hits in eight innings with four walks and eight strikeouts.
Closer Brian Wilson earned his 32nd save with a 1-2-3 ninth.
Atlanta scored on RBI ground-outs by Yunel Escobar in the fifth and Mark Kotsay in the sixth.
Brian McCan had three of the five hits for the Braves, losers of four of their last six games.
Losing pitcher Chuck James (2-5) surrendered three earned runs and five hits in four innings.
