Arbitrators rule against Orioles pitcher Bergesen

DENVER, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Ian Stewart and Brad Hawpe each drove in two runs, helping Colorado down Washington 8-2 Tuesday in the second of a four-game series.
Also for the Rockies, who have three of the last five games, Matt Holliday had two hits, an RBI and a run scored, and Willy Taveras, Jeff Baker and Seth Smith had an RBI each.
Manny Corpas (2-3) allowed just two hits in the eighth for the win, but not before starter Jorge De La Rosa tossed seven innings, giving up six hits and two runs.
Jesus Flores drove in a run for the Nationals, whose four-game win streak ended. Luis Ayala (1-7) was charged with the loss.
