PHOENIX, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Pitcher Brandon Webb became Arizona's first 16-game winner as the Diamondbacks downed Pittsburgh 3-1 Tuesday.
Webb took a shutout into the ninth inning allowing one run on nine hits, walking none and striking out four in his third complete game of the year and 15th of his career.
Chris Young smacked a two-run homer as Arizona won its second straight game despite getting only six hits.
For Pittsburgh, which has dropped four in a row, Zach Duke (4-10) remains winless in his last 10 starts. Doug Mientkiewicz went 2-for-4 and drove in Pittsburgh's only run.
