Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Hall of Fame Racing announced Wednesday that driver J.J. Yeley will be replaced by Brad Coleman in the NASCAR Sprint Cup series.
Yeley, in his first year with the Hall of Fame organization, is in 36th place in the cup standings.
Coleman, a Nationwide Series driver, will attempt to make his Sprint Cup debut next week in Michigan. The 20-year-old driver has made 42 starts on the Nationwide circuit.
Yeley started his career with Joe Gibbs Racing.
"J.J. is a talented race car driver and a great person and this was a difficult decision to make," Hall of Fame co-owner Tom Garfinkel said.
"We all share responsibility that our performance hasn't been what it needs to be, but we concluded it was time to make a change. This is a performance-based industry and we need to perform better."
