MLB: Tampa Bay 8, Cleveland 4

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Aug. 5 (UPI) -- Dioner Navarro had a home run and three RBI Tuesday to lead the Tampa Bay Rays to an 8-4 victory over the Cleveland Indians.

Evan Longoria hit a two-run homer and scored twice for the Rays, who have won six of their last seven games. Cliff Floyd added a solo homer and Gabe Gross and Carlos Pena each had an RBI in the win.

Winning pitcher Edwin Jackson (8-7) gave up three runs on seven hits in 5 2/3 frames innings.

Jhonny Peralta hit a two-run home run for the Indians. Fausto Carmona (5-4) got the loss after allowing four runs on three hits and five walks in four innings.
