
NEW YORK, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- Kansas City pitcher Zack Greinke and catcher Miguel Olivo were suspended five games Tuesday by Major League Baseball for incidents on Sunday.
Royals Manager Trey Hillman was suspended one game and Chicago White Sox Manager Ozzie Guillen two games. All four were fined undisclosed amounts.
Olivo was suspended for charging the mound and throwing a punch in the fifth inning Sunday. Chicago pitcher D.J. Carrasco hit Olivo with a pitch. The catcher ran to the mound and both benches cleared
Olivo and Carrasco were ejected following the incident, leading to Guillen's ejection after arguing and making contact with umpire Tim Timmons.
Greinke got involved in the seventh inning, when he hit Chicago's Nick Swisher. He was then thrown out, along with Hillman.
