COLORADO SPRINGS, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Eduardo Romero slipped to a 3-over-par73 Sunday but still won the U.S. Senior Open in Colorado by four shots.

The win gave Romero, of Argentina, two major championships and three titles overall on the Champions Tour.

Romero finished at 6-under 274 at the Broadmoor course in Colorado Springs, earning $470,000.

Fred Funk, who led after two rounds, was second, closing with a 74 for a total of 2-under 278. Mark McNulty (68) was third at 279 and Greg Norman (70) was another shot back.

"Man, I'm so happy, so happy," Romero said. "I played great all week, all week long."

Romero won The Tradition, his other major championship, in 2006.
