
HOUSTON, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Darin Erstad's sacrifice fly with one out in the bottom of the 10th inning Saturday gave the Houston Astros a come-from-behind 5-4 win over the New York Mets.
Houston battled back from a 4-0 deficit after 2 ½ innings.
A pinch two-run pinch single by Geoff Blum off Mets' closer Billy Wagner one out in the bottom of the ninth created a 4-4 tie. Kaz Matsui and Carlos Lee both had two hits and one RBI for the Astros, winners in five of their last six games.
The winner was closer Jose Valverde (5-3) after a scoreless 10th inning.
Damion Easley hit a two-run second-inning homer and two others had one RBI for New York. Easley and Jose Reyes had two hits apiece in the Mets' third straight defeat.
The losing pitcher was Aaron Heilman (1-6).
Wagner suffered his seventh blown save this season.
