
ATLANTA, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Jorge Campillo hurled seven scoreless innings Sunday, propelling Atlanta to a 5-0 win over the Milwaukee Brewers.
Campillo (6-4) did not walk a batter, fanned six and threw 68 of his 101 pitches for strikes. He is 3-0 in his last five starts.
Relievers Jeff Bennett, Wil Ohman and Mike Gonzalez finished the shutout.
At the plate, Yunel Escobar had two RBI and three others knocked in one run. Kelly Johnson had two of the eight hits for the Braves, who had lost seven of their previous eight home games.
Gabe Kapler and Craig Counsell had two hits apiece for the Brewers, who had won two in a row after a five-game losing streak.
Losing pitcher Ben Sheets (10-5) surrendered three runs -- two earned -- and six hits in six innings.
