HOUSTON, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- Brad Davis and Brian Ching scored goals for Houston Saturday and the Dynamo posted a 2-0 Major League Soccer victory over the Columbus Crew.

Davis scored his second goal of the season early in the first half and Ching scored his eighth just before the break. Houston goalkeeper Pat Onstad needed only three saves for the shutout.

It was the Dynamo's sixth victory of the season. The Dynamo are unbeaten in their last five games and are only one point behind Western Conference-leading Real Salt Lake.
