ARLINGTON, Texas, July 30 (UPI) -- Michael Young put Texas in front with a sacrifice fly in the eighth Wednesday, helping the Rangers come from behind twice to down Seattle 4-3.
Josh Hamilton ran his RBI total to 104 with a solo homer in the second and Brandon Boggs also hit a home run in that inning to pull the Rangers into a 2-2 tie.
After Seattle took a 3-2 lead, the Rangers again tied it with an unearned run in the sixth. David Murphy was on third and Boggs was on first with two out in the sixth when Boggs attempted to steal second. Catcher Kenji Johjima, who had grounded into a double play in the top half of the inning, threw the ball away at second to allow the tying run to score.
Seattle reliever Arthur Rhodes (2-1) walked the bases loaded in the eighth before Young, pinch-hitting for Boggs, lifted a fly ball to center that brought in the deciding run.
That made a winner out of Eddie Guardado (2-2), who worked a perfect eighth in relief of Vicente Padilla. C.J. Wilson, who coughed up the lead in the ninth inning Tuesday only to become the winning pitcher when the Rangers rallied, came on to get his 24th save.
