Nadal wins 30th straight match

MASON, Ohio, July 30 (UPI) -- Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, ranked second and third in the world, reached the third round Wednesday at the Western & Southern Financial Group Masters.

Nadal needed only 46 minutes to rout Florent Serra 6-0, 6-1. It was the 30th straight match victory for Nadal, a streak that includes his triumph at Wimbledon and a title last weekend in Toronto.

Djokovic outfought Simone Bolelli 7-6 (7-2), 7-6 (7-2) to reach the third round.

Nadal will next meet Tommy Haas, who had a 5-1 lead in the first set when Gael Monfils retired with stomach problems. Andreas Seppi defeated Tomas Berdych 5-7, 7-5, 7-5 to earn a matchup with Djokovic.

James Blake, the runner-up in this tournament last year, moved on with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Gilles Simon. In last week's Masters Series event in Toronto, Simon shocked world No. 1 Roger Federer in the second round.

Heavy rains suspended play in the evening with Carlos Moya in front of fourth-seeded Nikolay Davydenko 7-6 (10-8), 1-0.
