Closer Troy Percival followed three other relievers to record his 23rd save.
Both Toronto runs scored on Lyle Overbay's first inning homer.

Losing pitcher Scott Richmond (0-1), making his major league debut, surrendered three earned runs and seven hits in 5 1/3 innings.
