MLB: Detroit 8, Cleveland 5

CLEVELAND, July 29 (UPI) -- Brandon Inge had a two-run homer and three RBI Tuesday, propelling the Detroit Tigers to an 8-5 victory over the Cleveland Indians.

Edgar Renteria and Gary Sheffield each had a pair of RBI and Miguel Cabrera hit a solo home run for the Tigers.

Armando Galarraga (9-4) gave up three runs on five hits with a pair of walks in 5 1/3 innings.

Jhonny Peralta went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and one RBI for Cleveland.

Matt Ginter (1-2) went four innings and gave up four runs on eight hits for the Indians, who have lost five of their last seven games.
