COMMERCE CITY, Colo., July 28 (UPI) -- Steve Lenhart and Jason Garey scored for the Columbus Crew Sunday in a 2-0 Major League Soccer win over the Colorado Rapids.

Lenhart tallied in the 21st minute and Garey in the 75th, leading the Crew (9-5-4) to within two points of Eastern Conference leader New England.

Crew goalkeeper Will Hesmer made seven saves for his fifth shutout of the season.

Colorado is 6-9-3.
