MLB: Florida 3, Chicago Cubs 2 (12 inn.)

CHICAGO, July 26 (UPI) -- Jorge Cantu's 12th-inning RBI double Saturday gave the Florida Marlins a 3-2 victory against the Chicago Cubs.

The Marlins won the contest despite striking out 20 times.

Cantu's game-winning hit came with two outs in the top of the 12th against losing pitcher Chad Gaudin (0-1).

Florida's other runs were courtesy of solo homers by Jeremy Hermida in the third and eighth innings.

Hermida had thee of the eight hits in the Marlins' second straight win at Wrigley Field.

The winner was Justin Miller (4-2). Closer Kevin Gregg earned his 22nd save.

Chicago scored on Aramis Ramirez's third-inning single and his third-inning solo homer.

Like Ramirez, the Cubs' Kosuke Fukodome had two hits.

Chicago starter Rich Harden fanned 10 batters in five innings making him the the third pitcher since 1953 to reach double-digit strikeouts in three consecutive starts.

Cubs' Manager Lou Piniella and first-base coach Matt Sinatro both were ejected in the ninth.
