LAS VEGAS, July 25 (UPI) -- Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade and Michael Redd all scored 20 points Friday, leading the United States to a 120-65, Olympic tune-up win over Canada.
It was the first exhibition contest for the Americans as they prepare for an Olympic tournament that starts Aug. 10.
Canada stayed within eight points after one period, but Team USA turned things into a rout before halftime and took a 39-point lead into the fourth.
LeBron James, who suffered a slight ankle sprain in practice Tuesday, was held out of the contest as a precaution.
The United States shot 66 percent from the field and made 11 of 22 three-point attempts. Canada was led by Jermaine Anderson with 18.
The Americans open their Olympic schedule against China. Germany, Greece, Angola and Spain will also be in their preliminary group. Canada did not qualify for the Olympics.
