SAN FRANCISCO, July 24 (UPI) -- Rich Aurilia doubled in the tying and go-ahead runs in the eighth inning Wednesday, rallying San Francisco to a 6-4 win over Washington.

The Giants scored three times in the eighth to down the Nationals for the second straight game.

Washington had gone in front with a three-run sixth, two of the runs coming on a homer by Jesus Flores.

San Francisco came back, however, against Luis Ayala (1-6).

Bengie Molina singled to open the eighth and John Bowker drew a walk. Aurilia's double to center scored both runners and gave San Francisco a 5-4 lead. A double by Omar Vizquel brought in Aurilia with an insurance run.

Brian Wilson put two runners on with two away in the ninth, but struck out Kory Casto to end the game and earn his 27th save.

The win went to Geno Espineli (1-0), who was called up from Class AAA Fresno Sunday and who retired the only two men he faced in the eighth.
