NEW YORK, July 23 (UPI) -- Alex Rodriguez and Justin Christian hit two-run doubles Wednesday to key the New York Yankees' 5-1 win over the Minnesota Twins.

The victory completed a three-game sweep and capped an unbeaten six-game homestand.

Christian's double started the scoring with two outs in the fifth inning and Rodriguez added his two-run double with no outs in the sixth. New York's other run scored Richie Sexson's sixth inning sacrifice fly.

Winner Mike Mussina (13-6) gave up six hits in eight scoreless innings with no walks and seven strikeouts.

After LaTroy Hawkins yielded a run and three hits in the top of the ninth, closer Mariano Rivera recorded his 25th save this season by striking out Jason Kubel.

The Twins' scored on Mike Lamb's third hit, a two-out ninth-inning single.

Losing pitcher Glen Perkins (7-3) yielded five earned runs and eight hits in six innings.
