CINCINNATI, July 23 (UPI) -- Adam Dunn's grand slam capped a five-run seventh inning Wednesday and lifted Cincinnati to a 9-5 win over San Diego.

The left fielder, mentioned in trade scenarios along with fellow outfielder Ken Griffey Jr., also hit an RBI single in the sixth.

Cincinnati's Edwin Encarnacion launched a two-run home run in the sixth.

Griffey had two hits and one RBI.

Javier Valentin had three hits and one RBI and winning pitcher Bronson Arroyo was the third player with two hits for the Reds, who won twice in the three-game series.

Arroyo (9-7) allowed three earned runs and six hits in seven innings with no walks and seven strikeouts.

Francisco Cordero recorded his 21st save.

San Diego got a first inning solo home run and a bases-loaded ninth inning walk from Jody Gerut, a two-run shot by Kevin Kozmanoff in the sixth and one RBI from Brian Giles.

Starter Greg Maddux is winless in 14 starts since his 350th career victory.

The losing pitcher was Cla Meredith (0-3).
