SAN FRANCISCO, July 23 (UPI) -- Bengie Molina homered twice for three runs and Fred Lewis added a solo shot Tuesday, paving the way for a 6-3 San Francisco win over Washington.
Their offensive output helped make a winner out of Barry Zito, who gave up three runs on seven hits and three walks in six innings to improve to 5-12. It marked the first time this year Zito has won two straight decisions.
Aaron Rowand and Omar Vizquel added RBIs for the Giants, who snapped a three-game losing streak.
Jason Bergmann had another bad outting, giving up five runs -- four earned -- on five hits in five innings to fall to 1-7. He has lost his past six decisions, and has not won since May 15.
Willie Harris homered and Paul Lo Duca drove in two runs for the Nationals, who had won their last two games.
