Derek Jeter drove in two runs for the Yankees, who have won five straight and nine in a row at home. Robinson Cano went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI, and has five straight multi-hit games.

Darrell Rasner worked 5 2/3 innings and gave up two runs on four hits. David Robertson (2-0) got the win despite recording only the final out in the sixth inning.

Jason Kubel got the only RBI for the Twins, who have lost three straight. Carlos Gomez had a double for the only extra-base hit for Minnesota.

Kevin Slowey (6-7) was the losing pitcher after allowing four runs on five hits in 5 1/3 innings.
