KANSAS CITY, Mo., July 22 (UPI) -- Miguel Cabrera was 5-for-6 with six RBI and two runs scored Monday to lead the Detroit Tigers to a 19-4 rout of the Kansas City Royals.

Detroit tied a season-high in runs set twice earlier in the season -- April 23 against Texas and May 24 vs. Minnesota. The team had 18 hits in Monday night's win.

Matt Joyce hit a three-run home run and was 4-for-6 with five RBI and three runs scored and Carlos Guillen scored five times and added two RBI for the Tigers.

Zach Miner (4-3) got the win in his first start of the season after giving up just three hits in six innings.

Luke Hochevar (6-8) suffered the loss, giving up seven runs on eight hits in five innings for the Royals.
