ST , PETERSBURG, Fla., July 22 (UPI) -- Jack Hannahan had a three-run homer and four RBI Tuesday, fueling the Oakland Athletics' 8-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays.
Dallas Braden (2-0) got the win after allowing just one run on four hits and four walks in five innings. Jerry Blevins, Brad Ziegler and Huston Street combined to throw four shutout innings.
Kurt Suzuki was 3-for-4 with a double and RBI.
Andy Sonnanstine (10-5) lost his second straight start after giving up three runs on five hits, walked one and struck out five for the Rays.
Carl Crawford had two hits, and Carlos Pena had a hit and drove in the lone run for Tampa Bay.
