DENVER, July 22 (UPI) -- The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled Double-A left-handed pitcher Clayton Kershaw and penciled him in to start Tuesday's game at Colorado.
Kershaw, 20, is the youngest player in the major leagues.
It is his second trip to the parent team. A stint in the majors beginning May 24 resulted in a 0-2 record and 4.42 earned run average over eight starts.
Kershaw was sent back to Double-A Jacksonville where he was 2-0 with a 1.00 ERA since returning.
The Dodgers made Kershaw the seventh overall selection of the 2006 draft. He was named the Gatorade National High School Player of the Yeas after going 13-0 with a 0.77 ERA for Highland Park High School in Dallas.
