MLS: Colorado 2, FC Dallas 2 (tie)

FRISCO, Texas, July 20 (UPI) -- Kenny Cooper had a goal and an assist for FC Dallas Saturday and the Hoops played the Colorado Rapids to a 2-2 tie in Major League Soccer action.

Herculez Gomez scored his second goal of the season in the fifth minute to give the Rapids a 1-0 lead and the Hoops (4-6-7) scored two second-half goals to take a 2-1 lead.

The Rapids got the game's final goal in the 67th minute when Conor Casey sent a Christian Gomez relay into the Dallas goal.

Cooper tied the score at 1-1 in the 47th minute with his ninth goal of the season. He helped on Dallas' other goal in the 64th minute when he headed a Marcelo Saragosa cross back to the top of the box to Juan Toja, who fired into an open net.
