
BALTIMORE, July 20 (UPI) -- Luke Scott's solo homer in the bottom of the 10th inning Saturday boosted the Baltimore Orioles over the Detroit Tigers 11-10.
Baltimore came all the way back from a 6-0 first inning deficit. Scott had three hits, two RBI and scored twice. Ramon Hernandez had two hits, one a game-tying solo homer in the bottom of the ninth.
Melvin Mora had three hits and three RBI, including a two-run homer in the first. Brian Roberts and Nick Markakis had two hits each, with Roberts adding an RBI for the Orioles, who have split their last four games.
The winner was closer George Sherrill (3-4).
Detroit's Miguel Cabrera hit a three-run homer and an RBI ground-out. Jeff Larish hit a two-run homer. Magglio Ordonez hit two sacrifice flies.
Matt Joyce had one RBI and Placido Polanco had four hits and one RBI for the Tigers, who have lost just twice in 43 games this season when leading after eight innings.
The losing pitcher was Freddy Dolsi (1-4).
