
MINNEAPOLIS, July 19 (UPI) -- Justin Morneau drove in five runs Saturday, two with a sixth inning homer, to key the Minnesota Twins' 14-2 rout of the Texas Rangers.
Morneau's 15th homer of the season was one of four hit by Minnesota batters. The others were solo blasts by Joe Mauer and Delmon Young and a two-run shot by Brian Buscher.
Mauer finished with three RBI. Two others had two RBI each. Young had three hits and five players had two hits each in the Twins' 16-hit attack.
Winner Livan Hernandez (10-6) gave up two earned runs and five hits in seven innings.
Texas scored both its runs on Chris Davis' second-inning homer. Josh Hamilton had two of the five hits for the Rangers, who have dropped two in a row and four of six.
Losing pitcher Matt Harrison (1-1) was belted for eight earned runs and nine hits in five innings.
