SEATTLE, July 19 (UPI) -- Shin-Soo Choo homered and knocked in three runs Saturday to lead the Cleveland Indians to a 9-6 victory at Seattle.
Choo hit a two-run homer in the top of the first inning when Cleveland built a 3-0 advantage and added an RBI double in a six-run third.
Cleveland's Jhonny Peralta had two hits and two RBI. Three others knocked in one run.
Choo had three hits while three others had two hits for the Indians, who broke a 10-game road losing streak.
Winner Jeremy Sowers (1-5) surrendered four earned runs and five hits in six innings before two Cleveland relievers mopped up.
Seattle's Ichiro Suzuki had two hits, one a two-run ninth inning homer. Jose Vidro had two RBI.
Raul Ibanez hit a solo homer in the third and one run scored on Sowers' third-inning wild pitch for the Mariners, who had won two in a row.
The losing pitcher was starter Miguel Batista (4-11).
