Blake advances at Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, July 17 (UPI) -- Top-seeded James Blake and fourth seed Sam Querrey reached the quarterfinals Thursday at the Indianapolis Tennis Championships.

Blake, who is trying to win this event for the second time in three years, battled past qualifier Woong-Sun Jun 6-3, 7-5. Blake will take on Yen-Hsun Lu in the quarterfinals.

Querrey defeated Vincent Spadea 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. Querrey will face Bobby Reynolds in the quarterfinals after Reynolds stormed past Alejandro Falla 6-1, 6-1.

Lu earned his quarterfinal berth by ousting Rajeev Ram 6-1, 7-6 (7-1).
