USA Select basketball team named

COLORADO SPRINGS, July 16 (UPI) -- Oklahoma City forward Kevin Durant, the NBA's top rookie last season, was among the 10 players chosen Wednesday for the 2008 USA Basketball Men's Select Team.

The roster, announced by USA Basketball in Colorado Springs, Colo., also includes 2008 NBA first-round picks guards Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls and O.J. Mayo of the Memphis Grizzlies.

Other young NBA performers forwards Al Horford (Atlanta); Andre Iguodala (Philadelphia); Kevin Martin (Sacramento); LaMarcus Aldridge (Portland); Al Horford (Atlanta); Kevin Martin (Sacramento); Rodney Stuckey (Detroit); Jeff Green (Oklahoma City) and guard Luther Head (Houston) completes the roster which competes from Aug. 10-24 at the Beijing Olympic Games.

"We brought into the senior team's training camp last summer a select team of young NBA superstars and it proved to be valuable preparation for our Senior Team," said senior national team managing director Jerry Colangelo. "We're looking for this select group to really compete and help prepare our senior team for Beijing."
