Sara Errani triumphs in Palermo tennis

PALERMO, Italy, July 13 (UPI) -- Sara Errani of Italy won the Palermo International tennis tournament in Italy Sunday, downing Ukrainian Mariya Koryttseva in straight sets.

Errani, the No. 5 seed, routed the seventh-seeded Koryttseva 6-2, 6-3.

The Italian player had knocked out countrywoman Flavia Pennetta, the top-seed, in the semifinals.

Errani has won three WTA singles titles.
