Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

NEWPORT, R.I., July 13 (UPI) -- Fabrice Santoro of France claimed his second straight title in the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships in Rhode Island Sunday, defeating Prakash Amritraj.
The second-seeded Santoro won 6-3, 7-5, improving his overall record at the event to 9-0.
Santoro, 35, said being older can have advantages on the tour.
"That is a good point, to be old," he said. "You are very calm, even when you are nervous. I am very lucky. It is not only luck ... I think I show the same passion and energy that I did five, 10, 15 years ago, maybe more."
Amritraj, 24, is the first player from India to reach an ATP final in a decade.
