LOS ANGELES, July 13 (UPI) -- Chad Billingsley struck out a career-high 13 batters and the Los Angeles Dodgers jumped out to a 6-1 first-inning lead Sunday in a 9-1 rout of Florida.

Billingsley (9-8) went seven innings, allowing one run on five hits with no walks for the Dodgers, who won for the first time in the four-game weekend series, and head into the all-star break with four losses in their last six games.

Matt Kemp, Nomar Garciaparra and James Loney had two RBI apiece for LA.

Florida starter Andrew Miller (5-9) gave up seven runs on five hits -- with five walks -- in 1 2/3 innings.

Alfredo Amezaga scored on Luis Gonzalez's first-inning double to account for all the scoring for the Marlins, who had a four-game winning streak snapped.
