SILVIS, Ohio, July 13 (UPI) -- Forty-seven-year-old Kenny Perry parred the first playoff hole to win the John Deere Classic in Illinois Sunday, his third victory this year on the PGA Tour.
Perry and Brad Adamonis shot final-round 70s and Jay Williamson had a 69 to finish deadlocked at 16-under-par 268.
Adamonis and Williamson hit their second shots on the first playoff hole into a pond and Perry two-putted for the win.
"I struggled hard today, tough golf course," Perry said. "That northwest wind is brutal out here. I didn't have it, but you know what, I fought hard and made some key putts at the right time. Things are just going my way."
The veteran competitor won $756,000.
Perry's other wins this year were at the Memorial and Buick Open. He has 12 tour titles.
Charlie Wi (69), Will Mackenzie (70) and Eric Axley (71) tied for fourth place at 15-under 269.
