MILWAUKEE, July 12 (UPI) -- A wild pitch by Salomon Torres allowed Jay Bruce to score the go-ahead run in the eighth inning Friday, giving the Cincinnati Reds a 6-5 victory over Milwaukee.

The Reds won their second straight game by overcoming a three-run deficit in the late innings.

Cincinnati scored three times in the seventh to forge a 5-5 tie. The final run of the inning came in when centerfielder Mike Cameron botched a fly ball for an error.

Milwaukee surrendered another unearned run in the eighth to hand the Reds the win. Cincinnati loaded the bases with two away in an inning that was prolonged when Milwaukee third baseman Bill Hall threw the ball away at first on Bruce's grounder.

With Jerry Hairston at the plate, Torres uncorked a wild pitch and Bruce easily scored.

Brian Shouse (3-1), who was on the mound to start the eighth, took the loss.

Mike Lincoln (1-2) worked a perfect seventh inning to get credit for the win. Francisco Cordero got his 19th save.
