ARLINGTON, Texas, July 12 (UPI) -- John Danks remained unbeaten in his last nine starts and Jim Thome had four RBI Saturday when the Chicago White Sox beat the Texas Rangers, 9-7.
Danks (7-4) gave up four runs on seven hits over 7 2/3 innings. He had eight strikeouts and retired 14 straight batters, running into trouble in the eighth inning.
Thome homered in Chicago's 16-hit attack. Thome is 13-for-22 with seven homers and 16 RBI in eight games against the Rangers since last year. Paul Konerko was 4-for-4 with a homer and two RBI for the White Sox.
Ian Kinsler extended his hitting streak to 24 games with an RBI double in the eighth inning and had two RBI for the Rangers. Josh Hamilton had two RBI to raise his total to a major-league-best 95.
Kevin Millwood (6-5) gave up five runs on 10 hits through 5 1/3 innings to take the loss.
