NASHVILLE, July 12 (UPI) -- Scott Dixon won Saturday's rain-shortened Firestone Indy 200 at the Nashville Superspeedway.

Dixon, the series points leader, was leading Dan Wheldon when IndyCar officials brought out the red flag after 171 laps of the scheduled 200. The rain soaked the track in a matter of minutes and forced IndyCar officials to end the race.

The victory was Dixon's fourth of the season and 14th of his IndyCar career.

Helio Castroneves, Tony Kanaan and Danica Patrick completed the top-five.
