Cornet, Arn, Klepac, Sprem advance

BUDAPEST, Hungary, July 11 (UPI) -- Alize Cornet, Greta Arn, Andreja Klepac and Karolina Sprem were quarterfinal winners Friday in the Gaz de France Grand Prix tennis tournament in Hungary.

The second-seeded Cornet, of France, defeated German Anna-Lena Groenefeld 6-2, 6-3.

Hungarian fan favorite Arn knocked out seventh-seeded Czech Klara Sakoalova 6-1, 6-0.

Klepac, of Slovenia, downed Czech Petra Kvitova 7-6 (7-2), 6-0.

Croatia's Sprem zipped past Hungarian wild card Katalin Marosi 6-0, 6-1.

Cornet plays Arn and Klepac battles Sprem in the semifinals Saturday.
