GLASGOW, Scotland, July 10 (UPI) -- Alexander Noren and Thongchai Jaidee tied for the opening-round lead in the Scottish Open Thursday at 7-under-par 65.

Former U.S. Open champion Angel Cabrera was in third place with a 66 and Niclas Fasth, Garry Houston and John Bickerton were another stroke back.

World No. 2 Phil Mickelson opened with an even par 71.
