CHICAGO, July 10 (UPI) -- David Ross had two solo homers and five other Cincinnati Reds had a home run apiece Thursday to whip the Chicago Cubs 12-7.

Ken Griffey Jr. ripped a three-run homer, Brandon Philips hit a two-run homer and Edwin Encarnacion, Joey Votto and Adam Dunn added solo shots.

Bronson Arroyo (7-7) recorded his third straight win, allowing five runs and seven hits in five innings.

Mike Fontenot smacked a two-run homer and Ryan Theriot also had two RBI for the Cubs, who had won their previous three games.

Losing pitcher Ted Lilly (9-6) and reliever Michael Wuertz gave up four runs apiece.

Each of the five Chicago pitchers in the game was tagged for at least one homer.
