BUDAPEST, Hungary, July 8 (UPI) -- No. 4-seeded Iveta Benesova and two other seeded players were ousted Tuesday from the $175,000 Gaz de France Grand Prix tennis tournament in Hungary.

Benesova, sixth-seeded Pauline Parmentier and No. 8-seeded Sorana Cirstea were all sent to the sidelines in straight sets in first-round action.

Benesova was dumped by partisan favorite Greta Arn, 6-4, 6-4, while Parmentier lost, 7-5, 6-2, to Karolina Sprem and Cirstea fell, 6-2, 6-4, to Petra Kvitova. Cirstea was the runner-up in the clay-court Gaz de France last year.

Seventh-seeded Klara Zakopalova managed a 6-3, 6-2 win over Stephanie Cohen-Aloro and Hungarian wild-card entrant Katalin Marosi claimed a 6-3, 6-1 win over Anna Lapushchenkova.

Also winning first-round matches Tuesday were Magdalena Rybarikova, Zuzana Kucova, Andrea Klepac and Martina Muller.

Top-seeded Agnes Szavay -- another Hungarian -- had a first-round bye and opens her play Wednesday against Klepac.
