ATLANTA, July 4 (UPI) -- Tim Hudson limited Houston to a run on four hits in seven innings Friday, leading the Atlanta Braves to a 6-2 victory over the Astros.

Hudson (9-6) delivered a much needed well-pitched game, striking out six in capturing his second win in three starts and helping the Braves snap a five-game losing streak. After Carlos Lee drew a walk in the first inning, Hudson retired 13 consecutive batters.

Atlanta was holding on to a 3-1 advantage in the sixth when Kelly Johnson hit a two-run homer, his eighth round tripper of the year. Chipper Jones and Brian McCann both had two hits, an RBI and a run scored.

Brian Moehler (4-4) suffered the loss. He gave up six hits and five runs in six innings.

The Braves' Jeff Bennett worked his way out of a bases-loaded, one-out jam in the eighth by giving up just one run.

Houston has lost four in a row.
