DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., July 4 (UPI) -- Denny Hamlin won a one-lap sprint to the finish Friday to capture the Nationwide Series Winn-Dixie 250 at the Daytona International Speedway.

It was Hamlin's third win of the season and the eighth of his career in the series.

Hamlin passed Carl Edwards for the lead on the 89th of 105 laps, but a caution flag came out when Colin Braun spun and hit the wall with two laps to go.

Once the debris was cleared, the field was allowed one green flag lap of racing and Hamlin got a good enough restart to hold off teammate Kyle Bush by .133 of a second.

Dale Earnhardt Jr., Clint Bowyer and Brad Keselowski rounded out the top five. Bowyer leads the championship race by 202 points over Keselowski.
